August 23-28

For the first time as an officially employed person, I missed a no-class day due to typhoon. Of course I don’t have a class to attend. But the thing is… I can’t understand what makes employees different from students when it comes to traveling to work/school during a rainy season. All of them are possible victims of being stranded due to flood or just plain heavy traffic. So I went to work that typhoon day, Tuesday I think. About four people in the office were there on time. The rest were either late or absent. One project architect came to office barefoot… because his shoes got soaked in the flood. It’s not that I don’t wanna work or somethin’. I don’t have anything to do at home. But I just want to have the satisfaction of having work suspended just like when I was a student and that’s it. Sounds illogical.

I volunteered for a take home work again, so that I don’t have to go to the office yesterday. I have to make my Saturday afternoon free so that I can watch a movie with my friends. I ended up watching Princess Diaries 2 with Mumty and Janrey. Mikey said he can’t join us because he’s not feeling well… some reason that I won’t easily believe in. Once again, I have to find my way in Makati,… an urban jungle for a north person like me. The movie is funny, but very very brainless. Anyway, that’s what movies are for.

I was home quite early for a Saturday gimik,.. about past 8pm. I spent the rest of the time talking with Charol on the phone that I forgot to eat dinner! What a weekend!

August 18 – 21

Wednesday. For the first time this week, I came to work early. I was able to make it not really to work but to have breakfast before starting my day. Patt came over to my place before 7am to hang out, for car plate coding reasons. We decided to get our breakfast at Delifrance. Since it’s kinda late to dine in, we decided to bring our food to the office.

Thursday. This should be a non-working holiday for offices in Quezon City. Since we have a heavy load of work, we were requested to have a regular office day. I was wondering why people in the office would prefer a day of vacation over a higher rate of salary. This only happens once in a blue moon… to attend a regular work day and get 30% more. Most people either came in late, left early or both or deliberately rebelled by ditching work. I wasn’t really a loss. Even though I attended work, Patt and I were able to left earlier than usual and grabbed our chance to hang out for a coffee and pasta dinner.

Friday. I have no choice but to give my treat in this day since I’m not planning to have an o.t. during my birthday. Anyway, it's also good to get rid of this, since some of my officemates havd been greeting me for more than a month already. My sises are very supportive. They sent me lots and lots of pancit malabon. It’s a record in the office for da boyz not being able to finish the party food. Call me “feeling” or whatnot, but I felt much loved in this office as compared to the previous one. Sir RP ordered his driver to buy me ice cream and Ma’am Annie bought me a one whole cake... something that I couldn’t resist even if I have to save my appetite for my dinner for that night. Of course the added food was kept among a few people. They don’t normally do that to the other employees.
It was dinner lamon time at Sweet Inspirations Katipunan. I invited a couple of people. Taz, of course, Mikey, Janrey, Ros, my 2 officemates Brian and Patt,… and Sir Dytoc. After the dinner, we had our coffee at Starbucks and discussed our raket. Finally!



Saturday. I was quite unwilling to wake up this morning since Taz and I slept late the previous night. When I reached Microcadd, it was only then when I found out that classes were cancelled. My class officially starts at 8am. I came in at 830, and just read the text message. Bad trip. I even called them up the night before to ask if classes will be postponed!Later tonight I”ll be watching Stepford wives with my sises and Charol. Hopefully, my brother and his gf will be coming too. If Chow’s around, I would have invited him. Just like what Mumty mentioned before, I think if this movie is a reality, he would really go for it.
