OFFICE STORIES AND MORE

1. One merienda afternoon, Sir Ed ordered a cup of Ovaltine from Gemma’s Tindahan. I asked him why he preferred Ovaltine over Milo. What’s the difference anyway? Sir Arnel answered my question. “Di mo ba alam yung acromym na MILO?... Masarap Inumin, Lasang Ovaltine!”

2. Two of our printers that broke down must be taken to the repair store by our messenger. Our boss instructed that printers should not be put in their original boxes. Printers should not be seen as printers coz they will be transported by taxi… just as a precautionary measure against theft or any sort-of similar incident. The people in our office started murmuring about that crazy idea. Who would want to steal old printers anyway? The people in our office started laughing when they saw Mang Rey trying to put the printers inside a TV box! Sir Romy Q. said to Mang Rey, “Oi, wag mong itagilid yang printer,… baka matapon yung Freon nyan tapos di na yan lalamig ulit!” I was kinda slow at that time, wondered for a few seconds before I realized that he’s trying to make fun of the poor guy.

3. I finally got my diploma!!! Hopefully, my transcript will be available tomorrow. I had them redo it coz it’s written there that I graduated as B LA.

4. I discovered that Oreo flavoured Cello’s Doughnuts, is best with F.I.C. caramelo.

FOR THE FIRST TIME...

1. For the first time, I refused Sir RP's request to postpone my resignation.

2. For the first time, I was able to use a dot matrix printer. Our encoder left the office early and I was forced to do a transmittal. Since we changed our transmittal form to that thing with integrated carbon paper type, we also have to revive the use of that ancient machine.

3. For the first time, I encountered a supplier offering me a bribe. If only she knew that I am noone in that office, who has no right to make any decisions... Hahaha!

5. For the first time, my dermatologist told me that I looked unusually relaxed. I told her that I'm happy coz I'm resigning from work.

4. For the first time, someone I do not personally know commented on my blog. To non-Filipino readers of my blog, pardon me for some words I use. It's a culture here to use Tag-lish (Tagalog and English).

5. Probably, for the first time, I will be requesting an allowance from my dad. Surely, I will not receive any paycheck for my last 2 weeks until after so and so months.

COUNTDOWN PART 2

Finaly another work week is over. I'm already counting down the remaining working days. In a while I'll be typing my final final resignation letter. I can't understand why I was being tormented by my boss. Actually I dunno if that's intentional or it's just a post-holiday thing. Or maybe all people soon to leave the office were treated that way. Good thing I have something to look forward to. Don't worry, friends, I'm not depressed. Although I'm a bit bothered into thinking of what to do after. One thing for sure, I'm not satisfied with either my work, life after work, or both. Something's missing but I'm clueless on what it is. Maybe I'm just bored and I need some kind of an adventure.

Here are some activities that I never tried before:

1. Go fishing

2. Visit Avilon Zoo (is this the correct spelling?)

3. Hike to Taal volcano
